Following a summer break, the real world has kicked back into action with a bang. We have seen a number of interesting occurrences, both home and abroad, some good and too many bad.
On the domestic front, we have seen a fascinating event in Scotland where almost four million people were asked a question that entailed a potentially seismic decision. The outcome has now presented our political overlords with an issue which requires a number of key decisions in order to deliver on their commitments.
Whilst reflecting on this, it led me to think about the decisions that need to be made within recruitment. For an employee and employer looking to make changes, a poor decision can have damaging effects. The right decision can offer wide reaching benefits.
But how should you tackle making these decisions? What factors should be considered before taking the plunge? Over the coming weeks, we will consider the challenges for those looking for a new role and for those looking to appoint new staff.
We always welcome feedback on what we do and are happy to provide specific guidance on any issue you face. If you would like us to tackle a subject, please let us know.
