So, you have decided that it is time to leave your current firm and to find a new job. But what is it you want to do?
It’s fair to say that there are limited openings for jet setting, international playboys/secret agents (which is a shame!), so instead the reality of the job market has to be taken into account.
Firstly, what do you want to do? In the majority of cases it will be in the same industry/sector that you work in at the moment. Consider the job role and type of company carefully.
Also consider the following – Are you able to do what you want to do? If you are looking to make a move to change role or sector, do you have the relevant skills/qualifications to be attractive to another employer?
In addition, are your expectations realistic? A new employer will want to get value for money and be confident that you can add value to their business quickly.
We will cover the next stage shortly. Feel free to get in touch with any thoughts, comments or feedback.
